Our Village

Our village is full of the coolest, most supportive individuals.  We have the best parents, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.  We cherish our friends near and far, those we see every week and those we don’t talk to or see for months.  You all hold a special place in our hearts.  Roo, Sar and I feel privileged to know the smartest, most driven, caring and beautiful people on God’s green earth.  Our village is big, our village is strong.

Every village needs a meeting place (or a headquarters of sorts).  The first day we went to SickKids I was nervous and full of questions on the inside but felt this sense of calm knowing that we were at one of the best children’s hospitals in the world.  You’ve heard it once and you’ll hear it again from us – SickKids is amazing!  The doctors there have earned the joy that inherently comes with being around children because they are so good at what they do.  We couldn’t be happier with our village HQ and the wonderful team there.

It’s evident that little humans are always #1 at SickKids.  An example is their new multi-sensory room – an amazing place to explore for kids like our little Roo.

We’re “Rootin’ for Roo” in September and taking part in the Great Camp Adventure Walk for SickKids.  We’d love it if you could walk with us and/or support in any way possible.  They also have a lottery with tonnes of amazing prizes.  I’m not much of a gambler but knowing your money is going to a good cause AND you have the chance to win a Lexus?  This guy is in!  It may sound like I work for the children’s hospital but I’m honestly just that pumped to spread the word and raise money for such a great place.
